Hari Dhongde's works are enthused with energy, that of colours, wind, the waves, rather the life captured in that moment on his canvas. in his spirited landscapes, he tries to capture large areas. This series largely livens the seashore of the busy Bombay ports. Hari is interested in the human interventions in living rather than picturesque fantasies that make his works close to urban life. His shades of grey impart a unique solitude to his works, and the flat sepia of large colonial structures adds a sense of historicity to the landscapes.
